Looking for volunteers to keep our wonderful residents company! Play cards, read to someone or accompany them on walks, share their hobbies like flower arranging or just sitting down for a tea with the residents.
Do you have musical skills? Can you come to the Village and play your instrument, sing songs with residents... cut a jig even? Music is a universal language – let us know what you can do.
Are you a dab hand with a brush – with which to paint nails? A nice gentle hand massage with a good hand cream is always gratefully received. You may other skills or ideas for pampering our residents?
If you have a young soul and a passion for games - Radio Lollipop needs you! Help us support children at the Whangarei Hospital and their whānau by providing activities and games. Registrations for info evening close Thursday 6th Feb - sign up today!
We are looking for volunteers who want to share their passion, skills and talents with a group of residents of the Greenways Trust. It can be anything you want to teach or share with others: horse or bike riding, knitting, hiking, or any other activities.
If you are confident around both horses and disabled people - then give us a call! The job will be leading horses and side walking with our riders during sessions. Interested volunteers can do courses run by NZRDA and gain NZQU qualifications.
Alzheimers Northland is looking for volunteers to help out in our Clients Day Centre. We provide a vast variety of activities which include Cognitive Stimulation-Quizzes, brain games, word games, puzzles, number games, discussions and reminiscing.
