Kia ora, welcome to Volunteering Northland

Every day Corrections works with a variety of groups and agencies to protect the public and ensure that offenders receive the help they need to turn their lives around. Our 2,000 registered volunteers are invaluable in our work to reduce re-offending. Volunteers also support and complement our services and constructive activities for people in prison, for example in music, health and wellbeing, cultural and religious services, reading and writing, parenting/life skills or supporting other rehabilitation and reintegration programmes we have to offer.
