Baking Superstar

We are looking for passionate and patient individuals to join our mission of making a positive impact in the lives of the men in our care at Northland Region Corrections facility. As a volunteer baking instructor, you’ll have the opportunity to teach the men valuable baking skills that they can carry with them into the future.

What You'll Do:
-Lead baking classes for inmates, teaching basic and advanced techniques.
-Help them build confidence and learn new skills in a supportive environment.
-Foster personal growth, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have a positive attitude, and be flexible, as our environment is ever-changing. You will also be required to meet with the Volunteer Coordinator and complete a Police Check and a site induction.

-No formal teaching experience required! A passion for baking and a heart for helping others is all we ask.
-Commitment to attending scheduled classes.
-Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a positive, respectful learning atmosphere.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
