Kia ora, welcome to Volunteering Northland
The objective of the Northland Car Club is to get together with like minded people and compete in various competitive Motorsport events, these include Hillclimbs, Rallys, Street Sprints, 1/4 Mile Sprint, Motorkhanas, Autocrosses and other social events organised from time to time.
All our club members are volunteers and car enthusiasts of all ages. These events involve timed runs from a Start position to
a) Top of the Hill for a Hill climb
b) Completion of the course - Street Sprint, 1/4 mile, Motorkhana, Autocross.
Vehicles are divided into classes - dependent on cc rating, 2WD, 4WD for Club points and overall positions.
These events are run under the governance of Motorsport NZ (MNZ)who issues a permit for each event. The event itself is managed by trained and certified Club members - Event Organizer, Clerk of Course & Scrutineers. MNZ also have a representative at each speed event to ensure all safety protocols and rules are being followed.
Our club members vary greatly, they include juniors (12-17 yrs) or others wishing to advance their driving skills, our adult members include those who drive seriously for club points and those who wish to go out and let loose. Anyone with any level of driving skill can join the Northland Car Club.
We would like to emphasize that Motorkhana events are a great way for young teenagers (from the age of 12!) to start advancing their driving skills in a controlled environment. With the rising concern of defensive driving within the younger age bracket this is a great way to learn car control skills, while having fun and meeting new people.
New members and Spectators welcome at all our events so please contact us or visit our website www.ncc.org.nz
To assist with Spectator Control at the Ruakaka Street Sprint Tarmac Motorsport Event - New members and Spectators welcome at all our events so please contact us or visit our website www.ncc.org.nz Road Ruakaka.
