Parihaka Community Landcare

We are a community volunteer group helping to protect native species in Parihaka by reducing pest populations. We formed in 2016 at started controlling rats and possums in the beautiful 41-ha Mackesy Bush. We are now planning to expand the management area to include Ross Park (access from the summit or from Dundas Road).

Pest management on Parihaka 1st Sunday every month

Squeamish people - sorry, but this volunteering is not for you... We need extra hands to help with possum trapping and loading rat bait stations. help us protect the native species in Parihaka.
