Pest management on Parihaka first Sunday every month
(Also fits Teams) We are a community group helping to protect native species in Parihaka by reducing pest populations. We control rats and possums. We need extra hands to help with possum trapping and loading rat bait stations.
All work is within Mackesy Bush and Ross Park, which are part of the Parihaka Reserves.
We would love your support on the first Sunday each month.
We meet at the top of Parihaka at 10am. Wear suitable footwear for bush walking and please make sure they are thoroughly clean to stop the spread of kauri dieback. The clearing will take 2-3 hours.
Requirements
The work will involve following off-track bait lines, so a moderate level of fitness is required. You will need sturdy shoes or boots suitable for walking in the bush.
Time commitment
First Sunday each month, 10am - 1pm.
