Pest management on Parihaka

We are a community group helping to protect native species in Parihaka by reducing pest populations. We control rats and possums. We need extra hands to help with possum trapping and loading rat bait stations.

All work is within Mackesy Bush and Ross Park, which are part of the Parihaka Reserves.

(Also fits Teams)

Requirements

The work will involve following off-track bait lines, so a moderate level of fitness is required. You will need sturdy shoes or boots suitable for walking in the bush.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

At the moment we run a half day (or 2 hours) approx once a month. We meet at top carpark Parihaka at 10.am
