Bream Bay Scout Group - Scout Leader / Scout Group Support Volunteer
Bream Bay Scout Group are now calling for more adults in the community to step forward and help continue that Scouting tradition. The group would like to start some additional youth sections, ideally a Cub section, comprising of youth aged 8-11, or Kea's aged 5-8.
Scouting empowers and encourages young people with physical, mental, emotional and social development so they can make a positive impact in their communities. Leaders also get to experience the adventure for themselves, as well as learn and challenge themselves though our training programme. From learning how to tramp safely, to abseiling for the first time, part of volunteering is participating with young people in the awesome experiences we run. Nationwide, we are an awesome community of 20,000 people who share a common set of values. Our volunteers join for the young people, and end up staying because of the wider scout community.
Bream Bay Scouts is now inviting more community members to get involved — whether as leaders, helpers, or supporters — to ensure local youth continue to have access to these life-changing experiences. No experience within Scouting is necessary – just enthusiasm and a sense of adventure!
