Kids Kits Whangārei Donations Coordinator

Whānau Āwhina Plunket provides a range of free services aimed at improving the development, health and wellbeing of children under the age of five.

We have an opportunity to join our Kids Kits team as a Donations Co-ordinator for Whangārei to manage clothing donations. We get given a large amount of NB-size 5 clothes from the community to stock our free ‘shop’. You will oversee the sorting, cleaning, organisation and distribution of these clothing donations. You will ideally be available at least one morning a week (currently Wednesdays but this is able to be changed) and willing to be part of the broader team, working closely with staff and other volunteers. Full training will be provided.

Requirements

Applicants will be: reliable, committed and self-motivated very organised with an eye for detail and quality control passionate about supporting our service delivery to local whānau have a vehicle to move clothes from one of our offices to the other *

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

At least one morning a week (2-5 hours) and some work from home during the week (washing and mending)
