Kids Kits Donations Coordinator - Plunket Whangārei
Whānau Āwhina Plunket provides a range of free services aimed at improving the development, health and wellbeing of children under the age of five.
We have an opportunity to join our Kids Kits team as a Donations Co-ordinator for Whangārei to manage clothing donations. We get given a large amount of NB-size 6 clothes from the community to stock our free ‘shop’. You will work together with other volunteers to jointly oversee the sorting, cleaning, organisation and distribution of these clothing donations. You will need to be available every Wednesday morning from 9am-11.30am minimum and willing to be part of the broader team, working closely with staff and other volunteers.
Full training and support will be provided.
Requirements
Applicants will be: reliable, committed and self-motivated organised with an eye for detail and quality control able to learn and work with established processes passionate about supporting our service delivery to local whānau have a vehicle to move clothes from one of our offices to the other
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
Time commitment
One morning a week (3-5 hours) on a Wednesday and some work from home during the week (washing/drying clothes)
