Flag Marshalling for Motor Sport Enthusiasts

With every speed event the Car Club holds, we require Flag Marshall's at set points along the Hill or course. Generally two people per point.
Each Flag Marshall is responsible for ;
A designated area of control that is never left unattended,
To keep this area free of obstructions and spectators;
To maintain radio communication with Control - to report any incident with competing vehicles, any obstruction on road ( bits can fall off cars etc), or spectators on course.
The Northland Car Club provides the equipment necessary for this position
To follow instructions provided by Control at all times,
To attend to any incident in your area and radio updates, call for more assistance, call for first aid,
To use Red Flag to stop any vehicle if instructed by Control

Requirements

Basic level of mobility and fitness to allow for potential movement up/down gravel road.

Time commitment

Our Events are held on a Sunday and the road is closed to the public for the duration of the event. Your attendance would be required from 8 am till 5 pm .
The event is generally not weather affected - unless dangerous weather forecast or road has been affected by weather.
You would be notified of any cancellation.
