Ahipara/Kaitaia Face to Face Literacy Coach
We have found that the learners intend to practice their reading and writing - but do not. So, as a Literacy Coach, you will help our adult learner practice reading, writing, and spelling weekly, generally for an half hour to an hour either once or twice a week.
We provide the all the training required to be able to coach students and create a personalised learning plan. You work together with our student coach coordinator to develop goals and select materials and activities to help learners reach their goals. We also have coach mentors to help guide and support you with your training and coaching when required.
This role is very important, and by doing it, you can change an adult or teenager learners' lives and that of their family. You will be helping a student who can't access a main Literacy centre and help them to better their lives.
