Kaitaia Community Garden/Mara Kai
Our Community Garden/Mara Kai is located at Te Hiku Connect at 12 Puckey Ave. The garden is tucked away at the back. Everyone is welcome.
The garden is a teaching site, and a place for our community to come together. Community gardeners help prepare Kai Baskets as the food is ready to harvest share with locals and our wider community for koha. Come learn or share your gardening knowledge. Great place to connect with nature and share stories and laughter whether it be new or old friends.
The garden is co-ordinated by Kath Wright and Jen Whittington.
We can give timebank credits for anyone who volunteers.
There is food, and learning, and community connections to be had learn and grow with nature.

Time commitment
Find us at the garden on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00. Wednesdays 12.30pm - 2.30pm
