Stream life investigation supervisors

Whitebait Connection work with local schools to deliver freshwater education. As part of this, we organise field trips and stream investigations where additional adult supervision is required to make these trips possible.

As a stream life investigation supervisor, you would supervise a small group of up to 4 students with their stream investigation. Overall Health&Safety will be managed by Whitebait Connection.

No previous experience required as students are leading the investigation (with supervision).

Stream trips are on an irregular basis, but are set at least 3 weeks in advance. No previous experience is required - volunteers will be under the supervision of a Whitebait Connection Coordinator.

Requirements

Good with children, interested in conservation, reasonable level of fitness, happy to walk on uneven ground. Must comply with our H&S requirements (discussed prior to the day) and undergo police check if required.

A Police background check is required for this role.
