Northland Evangelical Movement Incorporated (NEM) is an inter-denominational Christian organisation that has operated since 1945 and is committed to uniting local churches, serving our community, and sharing the hope of the Gospel across Northland. NEM operates a facility, HolyGround Parua Bay, which serves as a vibrant haven for Christian kids and youth camps, retreats, and community group hire. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Oversee Xero accounts, general bookkeeping, and routine banking transactions.

• Reporting: Prepare straightforward financial summaries for monthly committee meetings.

• Budgeting & Compliance: Assist with annual budgeting, end-of-year financial reviews, and Charities Services / Incorporated Societies compliance.

• Committee Participation: Join monthly committee meetings (in-person in Whangārei or online) to provide financial insight and guidance.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or non-profit financial administration (familiarity with Xero is a plus).

• A heart for church unity, kids/youth ministry, and sharing the Gospel in Northland.

• Alignment with NEM’s Statement of Faith (see our website).

Time commitment

Approximately 3- 5 hours per month.
