Community Pop-Up Play Event Helper

As a Community Pop-Up Play Event Helper, you’ll support Mid North Pop-Up Play Trust in delivering free, fun and inclusive play experiences for tamariki and whānau across the Mid North.

Volunteers help bring our events to life by assisting with setup and packdown, welcoming families, supporting play activities and helping create a safe, friendly and inclusive environment.

This is an opportunity to contribute to your community, meet people and help create positive experiences for local whānau. Guidance will be provided, and no previous experience is necessary.

Requirements

We’re looking for volunteers who are:

• Friendly, reliable, respectful and community-minded.
• Presentable and professional in their behaviour.
• Committed to representing MNPPT’s brand, kaupapa and values positively.
• Willing to follow volunteer policies, health and safety instructions, and event coordinator guidance.
• Able to maintain appropriate boundaries when interacting with children and whānau.

No previous experience is necessary. Volunteers must complete the Trust’s volunteer application and induction process before commencing.

Time commitment

This is an ongoing volunteering opportunity with flexible, event-based participation. Volunteers may support multiple pop-up play events throughout the year. Event dates, hours and availability will be discussed and agreed in advance. Volunteers can indicate their availability and the events they are able to attend.
