Event Fundraising Volunteer
You’ll help collect donations, share accurate information about our services and listen with compassion when people choose to tell you about their hospice experiences.
What you’ll do
• Help set up and pack down stands, gazebos, flags, banners, tables and chairs.
• Collect donations and follow North Haven Hospice’s cash-handling procedures.
• Talk with members of the public about hospice services and ways they can offer support.
• Listen respectfully and compassionately when people share personal stories.
• Follow event briefings, health and safety requirements and volunteer guidelines.
We will provide full training and a detailed briefing before each event, including guidance on hospice services, donation collection, EFTPOS machines and QR codes.
You may help at activities such as Hospice House Tours, the Shaping Your Legacy Expo, Northland Rugby Union games and our annual Trees of Remembrance.
