Volunteer for the Shaping Your Legacy Expo - 10 + 11 Sep 2026

The Shaping Your Legacy Expo is a free, two-day community event that brings together organisations, professionals, community groups, and creative practitioners to help people explore end-of-life planning, wellbeing, ageing, caregiving, and the legacy we leave behind. Through inspiring speakers, interactive workshops, information stands, and creative experiences, the expo aims to encourage meaningful conversations in a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment.

As a volunteer, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for everyone who attends. Whether you're greeting visitors at the entrance, helping people find their way around the venue, supporting speakers and exhibitors, assisting with creative activities, or helping behind the scenes, your contribution will help ensure the event runs smoothly.

Volunteer duties may include:

Welcoming visitors and providing information
Supporting speakers and workshop sessions
Helping exhibitors with general needs
Assisting with creative and community activities
Providing wayfinding and accessibility support
Collecting visitor feedback and surveys
Assisting with event set-up and pack-down
General event support wherever needed

No previous volunteering experience is necessary. We are looking for friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with others and are happy to lend a hand. Volunteers will receive an induction before the event, and support will be available throughout their shift.

Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or across both days, your time and contribution will help create a welcoming event that supports our community and encourages important conversations about planning for the future.
