Supplementary Staff for NZ Cadet Forces

We are looking for adult volunteers to join the NZ Cadet Forces as Supplementary Staff, or directly as prospective officers. It is a rewarding way to build life-long connections while undertaking adventure and community activities.

NZ Cadet Forces allows you to give back to your community by mentoring youth. You will gain NZQA-recognised leadership qualifications, and develop highly transferable management and communication skills.

You will need to complete 20 parade nights before beginning officer commissioning.

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• pass NZ Police vetting
• full NZ driver’s licence

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Flexible.
You would commit to 3hrs each Thursday night during school terms, for parade nights, and the occasional weekend for support on cadet activities like camps. 
Many hands make light work, though, so the commitment is flexible as we gain more support staff.
