Onerahi Community Association – Treasurer
Our Treasurer of many years has decided to retire in June and we are seeking a Treasurer for the Onerahi Community Association. Preference would be for a resident of Onerahi, although a prior association with Onerahi would also be considered.
Onerahi Community Association (OCA) is a community group that is active by way of; community hall and house hirage, dealings with our Community magazine (The Orbit), plus issuing of some community grants and more.
Our committee is a great group of people and we have a bit of fun too. We are all community minded and seek someone who feels the same about Onerahi.
What is required is of the role:
- Attendance at usually monthly committee meetings.
- Drafting and provision of a monthly treasurers report for the committee - usually provided just before the meeting date.
- Liaison with the House/Hall Facilities manager in terms of hiring bookings and bond money in and returned.
- Preparation of annual accounts for audit, prior to the AGM in June.
- Liaison with book keeper who does The Orbit accounts.
- Management of OCA bank accounts.
- Drafting some annual fundraising applications.
- Liaison with the book keeper who manages the House/Hall hire.
- Management of petty cash.
- Processing committee expenses claims.

Requirements
You would preferably have some bookkeeping or accounting experience or just be really good with maths.
Some experience with Xero software would be an advantage.
Time commitment
Flexible, 2 hours per week, maybe more.
