Support Group Volunteer/Manaaki - Kaitaia

Dementia Tai Tokerau provides advice, care and support for those in Northland living with dementia.
We require a volunteer/s to support an informal activity group for people with dementia to attend while their carer goes to an appointment, takes a break and rests etc. This will be for 3-4 hours and will involve chatting to clients, supporting game activities and sharing a cuppa.

This is based in the Kaitaia area

Requirements

Patience and understanding is ideal in this role. Comfortable to tautoko/support people with dementia or in aged care.

Ability to korero/chat easily with people and engage in some fun activities cards, board games to name a few.

Any age of person is welcome!

A Police background check is required for this role

3-4 hours once a month
