Sausage Sizzle Support - 14 June at Mitre10

NZSL Club Trust hold a Sausage Sizzle fundraiser at Mitre 10 in Whangārei. We are looking to add to our pool of volunteers to help with setting up, cooking, serving and packing down. You will be working with a team of others who share the tasks, taking preferences into consideration - for example, if you would prefer to cook than deal with customers, then you can be on BBQ duty.

Having some sign language ability or willingness to learn is helpful. We give away alphabet learning cards and encourage people to enrol in sign language classes.

Requirements

Wear closed shoes.
Use gloves (provided) for food handling.
Self presentation at food serving standard.

Time commitment

Set up starts at about 8.30am, pack up usually finishes by 3.30pm. Volunteers are encouraged to help for the whole day and are also welcome to just do a couple of hours that suits you - we have a team rotation to ensure everyone is looked after while volunteering.
