Volunteer Opportunity – Unit Support Committee
57 Squadron Air Training Corps is looking for volunteers to join our Unit Support Committee (USC) – the team of parents and community members who help keep our squadron running strong.
What does the Unit Support Committee do?
The Unit Support Committee provides the behind‑the‑scenes support that allows our cadets to thrive. Committee members help by:
Supporting fundraising and financial management
Assisting with events, camps, and activities
Providing practical and administrative support to the squadron
Strengthening links between the squadron, families, and the wider community
Helping ensure cadets have access to quality equipment, facilities, and opportunities.
Requirements
Who can volunteer?
You don’t need military experience – just:
An interest in supporting young people,
A willingness to help as part of a team.
Time commitment
Approximately 1–2 hours per month.
Plus occasional weekend activities or events (shared across the committee).
Support today’s cadets – help shape tomorrow’s leaders.
