Support Group Volunteer
Dementia Tai Tokerau provides advice, care and support for those in Northland living with dementia.
We host a carers and person with dementia support group in Opua, once a month.
While the carers are together in their support group, we are looking for a volunteer to spend time with their person with dementia.
Have a cuppa, chat, play some simple games/activities.
Second Thursday of every month
Opua Cruising Club
10.00am – 11.30am
1 hour in duration, once a month.

Requirements

Comfortable working alongside people with dementia or the elderly. Fun, caring, and engaging, able to chat and mkae conversation.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

1 1/2 hours once a month
