Sales Assistant /💰 Cashier 💷- Habitat Op-Shop Whangarei

Are you passionate about helping people and want to support our mission? All proceeds of our Habitat for Humanity 'ReStore' op shop support our vision of affordable housing for all New Zealand families.

We are seeking store retail assistants in all areas of the store:

• welcoming customers and answering questions
• working the cash register at the front counter - there will always be staff/others in the store to help either beside or close by around you.

We will walk-you-through our standard practise with customers and train you on how we operate the till.
There will be on going training with 3 monthly full volunteer meeting to help our team of volunteers to grow and strengthen.

• accepting and storting donations
• stocking the op shop and looking after its different sections
  Give back to an organization that is committed to helping local families into warm, dry, decent, affordable paces to live.
  • And of course have fun!

What support will we give you? • Our Restore Managers are there to advise and assist you. • Ongoing support from our Relationships Manager

Requirements

You don’t need specific retail skills as we will provide the support and training you need for this role
• minimum age of 16 years old
• An interest in people and providing customer service with a friendly and helpful attitude
• A flexible attitude and ability to take on varied tasks
• Genuine willingness to be a part of a team and be able to take direction while being able to take initiative and work independently
• Physically capable as there is light lifting and you may be standing for reasonable lengths of time

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Are you able to commit to regular shifts? Shifts are Monday to Sunday, between 9am and 5pm. Days and hours are flexible but minimum of 3 hours per shift is preferred Send us an enquiry or download a copy of the application forms from the link below and email to us with a copy of your ID.
