Volunteers wanted to sort clothing for our Textile Recycling Program

Want to help to reduce waste and pollution? We are looking for volunteers to help with our Textile Recycling Program in cooperation with our partnering op shops!

You would work in a team of 2-3 and our partnering op shops. The sorting takes place on their premises during their opening hours. The work consists of sorting fabrics into natural and synthetic textiles and removing zips, buttons and trims from garments.

We would provide an induction and ongoing support.

Requirements

• reliable
• hands-on
• basic skills with scissors and fabrics a plus

Time commitment

Flexible within op shop opening hours, to be discussed with the coordinator. We are looking for a regular, weekly commitment of a couple hours.
