Whakaora Kai - Food Rescue - Casual Community Fruit Picking List
Community Fruit Picker – Whakaora Kai
Join our fruit picking team and help reduce food waste and feed our communities! Whakaora Kai is a food rescue service with a mission of Zero Waste, Zero Hunger. We collect surplus fruit from local trees and distribute it to community groups and organisations in need. If you’re keen to lend a hand on an ad hoc basis, sign up to our fruit picking list and make a difference – one tree at a time!
This role will be in Whangārei and surrounds.
We will email you fruit picking opportunities, and you can let us know if you are keen to help.
Each pick will be different, and we will share the details and requirements in our email we will send when we need some extra hands.
Our aim is for picks to be within 30 minutes of Whangarei and we would pick for a maximum of 2 hours.
