I Have a Dream Tikipunga Primary School Breakfast Club Volunteer

Breakfast Club has become an essential and well-loved part of our morning routine at Tikipunga Primary School. Designed to provide kai for tamariki who may not have had breakfast at home, it’s more than just a meal – it’s a chance for tamariki to start their day on the right note.
We need volunteers to help us run this important programme for our kids. Whether you can volunteer one school morning, or more, we would love to hear from you!
This welcoming space supports improved learning, offers a positive start to the day, and provides an opportunity for tamariki to connect with a safe adult outside the classroom. Currently, we serve toast, fruit cups, muesli bars, and the occasional treat, ensuring our students are fuelled and ready to thrive.
As Breakfast Monitors, we take pride in keeping Breakfast Club stocked, handing out kai, and creating a nurturing, safe environment for everyone who attends. It’s a small but meaningful way to help our tamariki succeed.

Requirements

Own transport to and from Tikipunga Primary School

• Commitment to I Have A Dream ideals, mission and vision Good communication skills Reliable and punctual * Positive attitude, patience, interest in seeing children succeed

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Breakfast Club runs 8am - 8:30am/8:45am Monday to Friday at Tikipunga Primary School. Whether you can volunteer one school morning, or more, we would love to hear from you!
