Professional and Highly Experienced Information Technology Expert - Virtual Position

The Trust is involved with flora and fauna in NZ, therefore the Trust engages and collaborates with government and non-government, profitable and non-profit, Maori and Non-Maori organizations.

Requirements

The Trust seeks a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology (IT) Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will manage and support the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all technology-related functions.
This is a voluntary position. Therefore, the hours are flexible.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Certifications: IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT support and systems administration, with a strong background in network management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and MacOS operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with database management (SQL, Oracle).
  • Expertise in cybersecurity practices and tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
