Highly Experienced Fund Writers - Virtual Position

The Trust is involved with flora and fauna in NZ, therefore the Trust engages and collaborates with government and non-government, profitable and non-profit, Maori and Non-Maori organizations.

Requirements

The experienced Fund Writer will be responsible for developing high-quality written materials that effectively communicate our funding needs and secure financial support from donors, foundations, and other funding bodies.
The Trust seeks funding to develop comprehensive strategic, communication, and marketing plans to support our initiatives.
These plans safeguard Māori interests, promote cultural resilience, and enhance the Trust's impact within our communities.
Your support will help us continue our vital work, ensuring that Māori knowledge and values are preserved for future generations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Proposal Writing.
  • Fundraising materials development.
  • Research and Analysis
  • Collaboration
  • Reporting and documentation
  • Resided in New Zealand for over 4 years.
  • Fluent speaking and understanding of English.
  • Te Reo Maori language would be advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of the cultural history of NZ.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with grant management software.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in fundraising and grant writing.
  • Experience in the following sectors e.g., environmental conservation, education, healthcare.
  • Knowledge of current trends, and best practices in fundraising and grant writing, including with online grant application systems.

This is a voluntary and remote position therefore the hours are flexible.
