Board Director Position

As a Board Director, you will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of our organization and ensuring effective governance practices. Your knowledge, wisdom and enthusiasm about dementia or your lived experience with dementia or as a caregiver will provide invaluable insights into the needs and challenges faced by those living with dementia and their families.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
-Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organization.
-Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
-Advocate for the needs of individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
-Collaborate with fellow board members and staff to develop and implement initiatives that enhance the quality of life for those affected by dementia.
-Foster a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and respect within the organization and the broader community.
Desired criteria:
-Lived experience with dementia or as a caregiver preferred.
-Some governance experience is advantageous.
-Understanding of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
-Commitment to promoting good governance practices and ethical leadership.

Time commitment
Board Meeting 3rd Monday of the month, 3.00pm - 5.00pm. Online email responses required on occasion.
