Sandbox Fandom Festival Helpers (Pop Culture, Anime, Games) - 27 July 2024
SANDBOX is for everyone to games, show off your cosplay, enter competitions, check out the artist alley, enjoy performances, and come together to revel in all things pop culture and beyond!
We are looking for event helpers over 2 days:
On Friday (anytime between 1pm - 5pm):
- help with setup and decorating: setting up tables, putting up decorations and posters, preparing the stage, setting up the helper rooms and backstage rooms for guests, help vendors with setup if needed, prepare the game rooms and more
On Saturday (4 hour shift either 9am - 1pm or 12.30pm - 4.30pm):
- greet visitors and sell tickets
- answer questions and help visitors
- support one of the workshops and activities
- look after our artists and guests
- help backstage as stagehand or with tech
Lunch and snacks will be provided.
You will gain free entry to the event and will be able to enjoy the festival in the time you are not volunteering.
Requirements
- reliable
- friendly and welcoming if you want to work with the public
- if you don't overly like talking to people, we would still love your help backstage or with setup
Time commitment
The times where we need help are:
- Friday, 26 July between 1pm - 5pm
- Saturday, 27 July between 8am - 5pm. You sign up for a 4 hour shift - either from 9am - 1pm or from 12.30pm - 4.30pm.
