Sail Northland General Support
Enjoy the outdoors? Sail Northland is a charitable trust set up to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in the sport of sailing.
We are seeking General Volunteers to assist with our learn to sail programmes. The role involves supporting people to get on and off the water and assist on the safety boat. You will also help with session set up and packing away. You will be working as part of a team with volunteers, coaches, sailors and their families to provide a safe environment for our students.
Requirements
- Happy, patient and supportive approach with children and adults
- A reasonable level of physical ability
- Enjoy being outdoors and don’t mind getting wet feet
- You will require a police background check
A Police background check is required for this role.
Time commitment
We provide learn to sail sessions between October and April. Training sessions for volunteers are held before the start of the season.
Sessions are run during the day and afterschool. You may commit to one or multiple sessions per week.
