Information Desk Volunteers

Looking to make a difference and connect with people? We're currently seeking vibrant volunteers to join our Information Desk at the entrance to Te Ahu Museum. As a front-of-house role, you'll have the opportunity to meet and assist visitors, ensuring they have an unforgettable time at the museum. If you have a genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of the Far North, we'd love to have you as part of our amazing volunteer team.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills - ability to tell really interesting stories of the Far North.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Our usual commitment involves dedicating just half a day per week, and we kindly ask for a commitment of at least six months, though longer is even better. Once you've completed our training, you will be provided with a smart uniform and you'll be assigned a regular weekly shift, allowing you to plan ahead. We're particularly looking for enthusiastic individuals who can lend a hand during weekends, school holidays, or those who can be flexible with their availability. Remember, the museum is open from Monday to Saturday, offering plenty of opportunities to get involved.

Getting Started

The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
