Board of Trustee member with commercial experience
The Brain Injury Association Northland is a non-government social service organisation providing, free of charge education, support, advocacy and information for those living with brain injury, their family/ whanau and friends. We cover from Wellsford to the Cape.
We are currently looking for a person with a commercial background who enjoys working as part of a team and have a desire to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction and assist with the leadership and general promotion of Brain Injury Association Northland (BIAN) to support the organisation’s mission and needs. Management and communication skills would be desirable.
Requirements
Has networking experience to help increase the visibility of the organisation within the community and can provide direction which would lead to fundraising opportunities. Fundraising experience would be viewed positively but not essential. Training in Governance and the role of a Board member will be provided.
Time commitment
Trustee meetings occur bi-monthly, are a duration of 90 minutes and can be held face to face or via Zoom. Apart from the Trustee meetings, we estimate that the role requires a minimum of 2 hours of volunteer work per month.
