Board of Trustee member with HR experience

The Brain Injury Association Northland is a non-government social service organisation providing, free of charge education, support, advocacy and information for those living with brain injury, their family/ whanau and friends. We cover from Wellsford to the Cape.
We are currently looking for a person with a Human Resources (HR) background who enjoys working as part of a team and have a desire to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction and assist with the leadership and general promotion of Brain Injury Association Northland (BIAN) to support the organisation’s mission and needs. Management and communication skills would be desirable.

Requirements

Has experience understanding an organisation’s needs and can offer guidance to help meet those needs. Has the ability to help with recruitment, yearly appraisals, ensure policies are up to date and to offer advice as required. Training in Governance and the role of a Board member will be provided.

Time commitment

Trustee meetings occur bi-monthly, are a duration of 90 minutes and can be held face to face or via Zoom. Apart from the Trustee meetings, we estimate that the role requires a minimum of 2 hours of volunteer work per month.
