The Trust is involved with flora and fauna in NZ, therefore the Trust engages and collaborates with government and non-government, profitable and non-profit, Maori and Non-Maori organizations.
Requirements
We are seeking experienced and passionate Tikanga Lore Advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultural Guidance.
- Policy Development
- Training and Education.
- Consultation
- Documentation and Reporting.
- Advocacy Representation
Skills:
- Cultural Expertise: In-depth knowledge of tikanga Māori, including its historical, social, and spiritual dimensions. Demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in practical and contemporary settings.
- Experience: Significant experience in a cultural advisory role, particularly within Māori or indigenous contexts. Experience with policy development and organizational consulting is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate cultural concepts and practices clearly to diverse audiences, including non-Māori stakeholders.
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
- Deep understanding of the cultural history of NZ.
- Te Reo Maori language is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of Maori history & Tikanga.
