Experienced Business Development Professional - Virtual Position

The Trust is involved with flora and fauna in NZ, therefore the Trust engages and collaborates with government and non-government, profitable and non-profit, Maori and Non-Maori organizations.

Requirements

The Trust seeks a highly experienced Business Development Manager who will play a key role in driving the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining solid relationships with clients, and executing strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in business development, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the industry.
This position is voluntary and remote. Therefore, the project hours are flexible.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development and sales with a track record of success.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, client needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in all market sectors with an established network of industry contacts.
  • Knowledge of all markets and industry sectors relating to regulations, compliance, and best practices.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics
