Legal Pro- bono Advisers - Virtual Position
The Trust is involved with flora and fauna in NZ, therefore the Trust engages and collaborates with government and non-government, profitable and non-profit, Maori and Non-Maori organizations.
Requirements
The Experienced Legal Law Advisor provides high-level legal advice and support, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal advisor or in a similar legal role.
- Proven track record of handling complex legal matters and providing strategic legal counsel.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
Certifications: Admission to the bar in NZ.
Personal Attributes
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of the cultural history in NZ.
- Te Reo Maori language is advantageous.
This is a voluntary position therefore the hours are flexible.
