Calling all taiohi! Puāwai Festival Event Coordination & Helper - Sat 25th May
We are a tiny team of volunteers organising an exciting event for Youth Week. Puāwai Festival aims to bring education and information about the health and wellbeing services and organisations that support youth in our community to the young people that need them. We want to bring entertainment, kai, market stalls, activities and organisations to the town centre. Puāwai Festival will take place in Pūtahi Park on Saturday 25th May from 11am until 2pm.
We need your help not only on the actual day but also to help us in the weeks before the event. This is an awesome opportunity to learn more about event organisation and coordination, marketing, production, leadership and teamwork. It will look brilliant on your CV and you’ll rack up some great volunteer hours!
We need rangatahi to join our team to help with the following:
- Stage management
- Entertainment coordination
- Marketplace organisation
- Kai manager
- Marketing and PR
- Press liaison
- Photography and design
Requirements
No experience required. Come and find out how you can get involved!
Time commitment
We usually meet for an hour every week as we get ready for this exciting event.

Event is on Saturday 25th May 11am - 2pm, at Pūtahi Park.
