Interviewers Citizens Advice Bureau Far North - Kerikeri

Are you passionate about helping other in our Community? Become a member of our CAB team! The bureau is looking for a diverse range of volunteers.

Volunteers will meet people and answer their enquiries face to face, by phone or by email. Each shift consists of two volunteers working together.

Requirements

Being a CAB interviewer involves:

  • relating well with a diverse range of people
  • maintaining confidentiality
  • working with a computer
  • working with CAB aims, values and principles and core processes
  • conducting interviews consistent with CAB training – being a good listener
  • being a team player

We don't need people who know it all, as we will train you how to find the right information.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Volunteers commit to a 3 hour shift each week (9:15 - 12:30 or 12:15 - 3:30). The roster is drawn up monthly in advance, so you can decide when it best suits you to help us.
