Whare Awhina Social Supermarket Support (Thursday morning)

Whare Kai is a Social Supermarket run by Whare Āwhina which provides food support to those in need.

Key Tasks: Support operation of the Whare Āwhina Social Supermarket

1. Stock shelves, refrigerators and freezer ensuring stock rotation.
2. Cleaning tasks, such as wiping shelves and dusting.
3. Assisting people with their shop.
4. Assisting on checkout.
5. Assisting with packing bags and helping people to their vehicles.
6. Collecting kai from Whakaora Kai (back warehouse).
7. Any other reasonable task requested by the Social Supermarket Coordinator.

Training: Orientation and in house professional development will be provided.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who gets along well with others and has a bright and friendly can-do attitude.

1. Friendly and able to get along with others and work as part of a team.
2. Ability to stock low shelves.
3. Ability to lift up to 15kg.
4. Non-judgemental attitude.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

We are looking for help on Thursday morning between 9am and 12noon.
