Visitor Hosts for Whangarei Heads Arts Trail
We are looking for arts enthusiasts who would be interested to assist as visitor hosts at our Community Halls or private studios over the two days of the Whangarei Heads Arts Trail.
The event runs on Easter Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th April.
You would need to cover at least one full morning or afternoon.
We need your help in our public venues: Onerahi Rugby CLub, McLeod Bay Hall, Taurikura Hall or at one of our private studios.
Volunteers will be assigned to a venue or studio. The artist(s) in the venue or studio will communicate with the volunteer about the tasks at hand. Helping with parking, guiding visitors, selling trail guides, using eftpos machines to help with people who have made purchases, relieving artists so they can have toilet breaks or for a cuppa are some examples of things which may need to be done.
Requirements
Interested in Arts. Happy to talk to lots of people. Not easily flustered in times of high demand. Able to travel to Whangarei Heads. Willingness to handle money on behalf of the artists or the society.
Time commitment
The event runs on Easter Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th April. The event is open to the public from 10am to 5pm both days, so volunteers for the morning shift would need to arrive beforehand to meet Hall Managers prior to opening time.
Ideally, you are able to help out with one 4-hour-shift on both days, either in the morning or afternoon:
- from 9.30am to 1.30pm
- or 1am to 5pm
