ReStore Op Shop Helpers
Are you passionate about helping people and want to support our mission? All proceeds of our Habitat for Humanity 'ReStore' op shop support our vision of affordable housing for all New Zealand families.
We are seeking store retail assistants in all areas of the store:
- welcoming customers and answering questions
- working the till at the front counter
There will always be staff/others in the store to help either beside or close by around you. We will walk-you-through our standard practise with customers and train you on how we operate the till. There will be on going training with 3 monthly full volunteer meeting to help our team of volunteers to grow and strengthen.
- accepting and storting donations
- stocking the op shop and looking after its different sections
Requirements
- Pleasant welcoming personality
- Reliable
- For working the till: Being comfortable operating a mouse and computer
- Logical thinking when answering/dealing with customers general questions
A Police background check is required for this role.
Time commitment
We are looking for volunteers on all weekdays (particularly Tuesday to Thursday in the afternoons) and Saturday morning between 9am and 5pm, shifts to be discussed to fit your needs. We ask you to be available for a minimum of one shift a week.
