Waipoua Forest Trust - Native Plant Nursery Assistants needed

The Waipoua Forest is the largest Kauri forest in the world and a national and international treasure. We are a not for profit charitable trust dedicated to

  • Regenerating previously cleared land that borders the Waipoua Forest.
  • Undertaking pest animal & weed control to protect the Waipoua forest & regenerating forest.
  • Creating local employment opportunities & engaging volunteers to better understand native regeneration & land management issues.
  • Stopping the spread of Kauri Die Back.
  • Propagating native eco sourced species in our nursery to use in our regeneration projects.

Requirements

  • hands-on and experienced in gardening
  • Understanding of mana whenua and the local area
  • Passionate and want to be involved in making a genuine difference to the Waipoua area
