Coastguard Boat Crew Tinopai

Coastguard is organised into 70 units around our coast, lakes and rivers. When you volunteer, you volunteer for a particular unit, normally one local to you.

The unit is always on the lookout for volunteers to man the rescue vessel based at Tinopai. The training is fairly rigorous but provides strong personal development opportunities and a multitude of skills.

Induction training is provided and all training is free. Volunteers also become members of Coastguard free of charge.

Requirements

A reasonable level of physical fitness is required and, since callouts can be urgent, volunteers need to live in the Ruawai-Paparoa-Tinopai area.

A Police background check is required for this role.
