Can you swing a hammer or help with labour? Habitat’s home repair programme helps low income families back on track with their essential home maintenance. For affordable repayments to the home owner, Habitat carries out most urgent home repair projects, such as fixing a leaky roof, painting the outside or renovating a bathroom or kitchen.
Do you have a spare day each week to come and join the team, your time means more whanau having a warmer, drier, more affordable place to call home.
As a volunteer you will help out with painting, labouring or provide much needed labour with our Home Repairs team.
In return you will meet new people, gain work experience, upskill, build confidence or just keep active and of course have fun.

Requirements

This may suit physically capable retirees and some related trade experience is ideal.
Site supervision and ongoing support is given.

Time commitment

Flexible, Tuesday - Thursday, morning / Afternoon shifts.
