CCTV Camera Operator/ Viewer - Safeguard our City!

Want to play a role in safeguarding the town? Keep an eye on the bank of screens and liaise directly with Community Patrol, City Safe and the Police.

Blue Club is associated with the Whangarei Police Station. Camera surveillance is an integral part of keeping our community safe. Based in the Whangarei Central Police Station, volunteers are required to keep an eye on the bank of screens and liaise directly with Community Patrol, City Safe and the Police.

Training will be provided in observation, behaviour, camera and radio operations.

A good day is when nothing happens in town! That might mean that your shift is uneventful; for that reason, we recommend bringing a book or something else to do on your shift.

Requirements

  • An interest in people and their behaviour
  • An eye for detail
  • 18 years and over
