Volunteering with DOC Kauri Coast
Join a DOC ranger for a day and help to preserve our beautiful natural environment and carry out conservation work.
In addition to participating in a conservation activity, volunteering has an educational component. Educational activities may include guided walks, a talk from our knowledgeable rangers or members of a local community group, trap demonstrations or even meeting a kiwi.
Examples of past activities: •planting on a local farmer's property to conserve a globally endangered bird •cleaning up Bayley's Beach •releasing baby kauri trees from choking weeds and getting to meet a kiwi.
