Drivers needed

Have you got a few hours spare each month to assist the team by driving the Forget Me Not Adult Day Centre clients to and from the Adult Day Centre in Tikipunga?

The Forget Me Not Adult Day Centre’s 3 vans take up to 9 clients each and cover the areas of Onerahi (as far as the airport), Maunu (as far as Pompallier School) and Kamo (as far as Springs Flat). The clients are mobile, although some have walkers and require a little assistance getting in and out of the van.

Forget Me Not Adult Day Centre has a caring and friendly atmosphere and we would welcome your assistance for any of these duties. A clean driver’s license is essential. You will be able to choose the number of days/drives you can help on a week to week basis.

Voucher reimbursement will be offered to assist volunteers with their own travel costs to and from the Centre. On the job, on site.

Requirements

Clean drivers license.
Caring of others,
Calm nature, knowledge of local roads and the ability to assist people in and out of van.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

The centre is open Monday - Friday and hours required for the drivers are 8.30am- 9.30am and/or 2.30pm- 3.30pm.
Ideally, you are able to help 2 times a week.
